Brazos Lofts from the South
The Brazos Lofts are one of Downtown Austin real estate‘s true loft buildings. Originally four brick commercial buildings, it was converted to lofts in 1999, making it quite different from Downtown Austin high rises. The old brick and vaulted ceilings remind people of old-time Chicago.
The 39 units are very open and allow for lots of creativity.
Amenities in conversion buildings are often limited by the original building. In the case of Brazos Lofts, amenities are limited.
First floor units have been zoned for low office use which means work live spaces like galleries, architecture offices and a salon. First floor units have direct access to the street and the parking garage while others access their units through the east and west entrances and the building’s elevators or stairs.
