East Austin condos Saltillo Lofts have an industrial loft-like finish out. But it’s a soft industrial feel… The windows are wood. The units are open and spacious and most people can create their own style out of them.
Plaza Saltillo: Across the Street
Located at 5th and Comal, Saltillo Lofts are across the street from Plaza Saltillo. Plaza Saltillo is the last stop on Austin’s new commuter rail prior to reaching Downtown Austin. While Downtown Austin is close enough to bike or walk (AND the trip seems largely flat), having a stop could be a pretty nice thing. Commuting to Leander from Austin? That’s an even better reason to live next to the Station!
What’s Near Saltillo Lofts?
Constructive Ventures, the developer for Saltillo Lofts, also built three other condo buildings a few blocks further east. All four of these developments (and others!) have some form of retail on their first floors. That has brought many additional services to the neighborhood. There were things to do before (like Cisco, a long-time restaurant and LBJ favorite, is just up the block), but now there are even more things to do.
What are Saltillo Lofts Like?
Units have high ceilings, some exposed ductwork and usually concrete floors on the first and second floors. The windows are large and let in lots of light. If you have wood in your unit, it’s a hip knotty pine. The units are really fun and definitely worth checking out if you’re in the market.
