Ah, The Flamingo! It’s pink! But that’s not necessary a bad thing. While the name implies fun, the developer didn’t go crazy on the Flamingo theme.
The Flamingo was an apartment-to-condo conversion. The original apartments were built in 1972. In 2008 they were overhauled and turned into condominiums. The 30 units are generally a nice entry path into the Zilker neighborhood.
The Flamingo Condo Complex
The complex is a drive-in complex that’s shaped like an upside down “U”. Parking spaces are in front of the units. And there’s a sweet pool tucked into the front right of the complex.

Most of the units are small one bedrooms. There are first and second floors. Most first floor units have a small grass area out back. And most second floor units have balconies – some larger than others.
The Flamingo Location
The Flamingo is on Collier St. right off of S. Lamar. Yoga Yoga is across the street, there are more and more restaurants and bars along S. Lamar, Barton and its a quick jaunt into the Zilker neighborhood. Not to mention it’s walkable to Downtown Austin.
